Safety Compliance & Training Specialist

Essential Job Functions:

1. Review and maintain OSHA required safety programs:

  • Research OSHA regulations for applicable safety requirements that apply to     facility.
  • Develop/maintain written programs.
  • Develop/conduct training programs.
  • Establish/maintain documentation of programs, including but not limited to: Lockout/Tagout, Hazardous Communication, Emergency Response, New Hire Orientation, Electrical Safety 70E.
  • Assist with additional safety programs including: Powered Industrial Truck, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Hearing Conservation, and PPE.

    Additional Duties:

    1. Assist with and respond to injuries and illnesses and render first-aid as needed.

    2. Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

    3. Assist with other duties as assigned by EHS Manager.

    Minimum Work Experience Required:

    1. Three years’ experience in an Occupational Safety related field.

    Minimum Education and Knowledge Required:

    1. Undergraduate degree related to Occupational Safety.

    2. Emergency Medical Responder or EMT certification or willingness to obtain.

    3. Willingness to continue educational efforts to maintain certifications and advanced knowledge.

    4. Knowledge of tools and machinery in a manufacturing facility.

    5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.

    6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    7. Excellent public speaking/presentation skills.

    8. Ability to work flexible hours.
