• Supervise EHS department team, including EHS specialists and worker’s compensation administrator.
• Coordinate EHS services for the corporate office and manufacturing facility and the other company locations.
• Maintain corporate compliance with all applicable OSHA safety and reporting regulations.
• Maintain compliance with DNR and EPA environmental regulations including air permitting, hazardous waste, storm water, underground storage tanks, etc.
• Manage workers’ compensation program and injury logs. Additionally, lead investigation of accidents and safety-related concerns and when necessary, implement appropriate corrective action.
• Regularly review and update safety initiatives and programs; set the safety training schedule and prepare training sessions.
• Coordinate emergency response plans including fire protection and alarm systems.
• Oversee physical security of facilities including guard service, access control, and cameras.
• Work for property insurance representatives on inspections and risk management programs
• Work with the onsite occupational and physical therapists to address ergonomic issues and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Oversee emergency medical responders and injury care.
