Herb Kolbe once said, “We don’t strive to be the biggest, but we do strive to be the best.” Those are the words, along with a strong work ethic, that have carried our business for 75 years.
In 1946 Herb and Ervin Kolbe began repairing window frames and built sash on their family's dairy farm in central Wisconsin. It was from that humble beginning that Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork was born.
Since then, Kolbe has rebranded to Kolbe Windows & Doors and grown into an internationally respected window and door manufacturer, with over 1,000 employees. Our broad range of product offerings are available through hundreds of distributors and dealers across the United States, Canada and beyond.
